Hosta Sculpture

This sculpture is made from a hosta leaf which has been encased in copper. The patina on this sculpture has beautiful shades of green and teal. This is a stunning sculpture and would look wonderful anywhere, bookshelf, cabinet or desk. I think it is from a Sum and Substance hosta and of course there are five small slug holes. At least it wasn’t devoured by deer. Very nice piece.

This sculpture is a botanical specimen that has been electroformed (electroplated) in copper for several hours and was finished with several layers of handmade patinas and sealed to protect the finish.
