Maple Seed Pin
This piece of jewelry is made from an actual maple seed, that is encased in copper. These distinctive fruits are called samaras, “maple keys”, “helicopters”, or even “whirlybirds. Whatever they are called, they make wonderful pins! Really fun!
The patina has nice bluish color with greener veins. I love these on jean jackets, other casual coats or a sweater. Nice as a lapel pin too!

This medium-sized pin’s measurements are 2.5 inches wide by .75 inches in length.
This pin is a botanical specimen that has been electroformed (electroplated) in copper for several hours and was finished with several layers of handmade patinas and sealed to protect the finish.
