This sculpture is made from a somewhat tattered red oak branch which has been encased in copper. It has two leaves and an acorn. The patina on this sculpture has dark coppery, purplish and some rose tones. This sculpture would look wonderful anywhere: bookshelf, cabinet or desk. I picked it up in the spring after it spent the winter on the ground. There are some natural tears, holes and a little missing section of the leaf, adding character and interest. Nice piece.

This sculpture is a botanical specimen that has been electroformed (electroplated) in copper for several hours and was finished with several layers of handmade patinas and sealed to protect the finish.
